Krzysztof Lewandowski

Owner, main engineer

I have had a passion for electronics since I was a child, and the greatest fun came from taking apart toys and learning about their construction. I got my first soldering iron at the age of 13, and yes, in 2008 the first tube DIY was created. Each subsequent construction increased the appetite for Hi-End and frequent visits to the neighbor's; whose father ran audio salons in the 1990s; provided the opportunity to listen to and inspect the technologies used in the equipment of top manufacturers of the golden era of audio.
Already in junior high school, I took physics courses at the Warsaw University of Technology and, skipping high school, I studied the fields of Mechatronics parallel with Telecommunications and Information Technology at the Warsaw University of Technology, achieving a master's degree in mechatronics engineering.
After several years of working for the industry as a production line designer, I decided to abandon my career and use my specialist skills in the field of production to commercialize my passion. I created BonaWatt based on my interest in building tube audio devices, which has been with me for 15 years.

Soldering technology consultant

He has been passionate about audio equipment for as long as he can remember. An eccentric-perfectionist who, despite his profession, always go against the trend. Over 20 years of experience in the electronics industry, as an engineer of SMT, THT, pressfit technological processes. Founder of KONTRA Speakers, designer in the field of loudspeaker systems.

Brand ambasador

Analogue audio technology enthusiast. A music lover to whom recordings have no secrets. Tape, vinyl, cassette? - an everyday dilemma AA - AnalogowyAbdul.
Unlimited access to our listening space and a private system allows him to
pre-premiere evaluate the sound of BonaWatt equipment in each iteration, and there are always quite a lot of them!

BonaWatt is a fully equipped production and measurement facility. When building equipment, we use, among others: calibrated digital multimeters and spectrum analyzers. The mirror elements of the stereo system are manually selected in pairs. We optimize all assembled units in terms of the mutual relations of individual harmonics in the signal spectrum - we do not focus on general THD level minimization.

... and a listening, measurement place

When the spectrum optimization process is completed, we proceed to listening in an acoustically adapted room with a linear amplitude response and controlled reverberation time. The final measurement takes place in an audio system with a 24-bit, calibrated electret microphone.
